La Isla proudly sponsors...
What is the talent you are being sponsored for?
How long have you being doing it for? How did you get started?
Living near the beach my whole life, my childhood revolved around being in the water. I started surfing at a very young age, and grew up loving it. I began competing when I was 14.
I was born in Byron Bay and now live on the East Coast of Australia. Surfing has been a huge part of my culture growing up and I now surf local spots such as Snapper Rocks, Kirra and Duranbah. I am currently 18 years of age and have just finished high school. I love traveling, visiting countries where I can surf or snowboard, living new experiences, learning different cultures and meeting new people.
I wouldn’t continue to do something if I didn’t enjoy it. Enjoying what you do keeps you motivated, allowing you to have fun whilst also progressing, so I enjoy surfing and have a passion for it.
When I am not surfing, I am…
Studying, skating, at the gym, hanging with friends, taking photographs, teaching myself Spanish, on instagram and listening to music.
What are three things you like about La Isla?
La Isla cares about the social and ecological environment, which is something that I also care about a lot.
The product is really creative and beautiful.
I also think that the fact that they donate a portion of their proceeds to non-profits every year, and that they donate a tee for every tee that is sold (www.laisla360.com) is a wonderful thing. Every business should be ran this way.
What is the last thing you read?
I have read four books this year all for school but the last one was Richard III by Shakespeare.
Is there anything you would like the world to know about you?
I really enjoy science as it is so interesting and there are so many things to learn. I also hope to study something science related at a university next year.
What are the three most important things to you in your life?
